Evotix has partnered with Seas the Day ocean rowing team, providing sponsorship for their upcoming expedition to cross the Pacific Ocean. The all-female team of three will row up to 15 hours a day to cross 8,000 miles of ocean!
The team’s combination of optimism and pragmatism immediately appealed to Evotix. Sharing a can-do attitude to overcoming challenges, matched by an appreciation of the vital importance of accurate risk assessment, the partnership seemed a perfect fit.
The Evotix team was initially struck by the obvious passion and enthusiasm of the Seas the Day team. After one of its members crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 2022, the team was excited to tackle a bigger challenge. The scope of their ambition was inspiring and resonated strongly with Evotix’s culture of innovation and constant improvement.
But embarking on such an ambitious challenge was not to be taken lightly, and the team is not naïve to the scale of the challenge. The expedition will place them under enormous physical and mental strain, testing them to their limits. Evotix has always recognized the fundamental importance of good mental and physical well-being, which is why we were excited to support such an endeavor.
Evotix can also offer significant practical support. The enormous logistical challenges of such an ambitious expedition will be complex. We can help the team gain detailed understanding of the risks they face, help them plan for and manage those risks - providing what support we can to help the team achieve success.
There is a natural alignment between this energetic team of determined young people and Evotix. Both take a positive approach to problem-solving, assessing and understanding the risk, facing the challenge head-on and finding solutions. Neither party is bound by convention, seeking pragmatic but innovative solutions to disrupt the status quo.
The crew fully understands that setbacks on such an epic trip are inevitable, but these provide an opportunity to learn and improve, something we consistently emphasize at Evotix. We are hopeful that the passion and energy of the Seas the Day crew will inspire our people, demonstrating the scope of what is possible.
As the Seas the Day team continues their preparations for the trip, we wish them every possible success. The positivity and determination of these young women is truly inspiring - we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!
